Mount Meru
Mt. Meru Overview
The second highest mountain in Tanzania, located just a short distance away from Mt Kilimanjaro, in Arusha National Park. Although it is often used as acclimatization for a Mt Kilimanjaro climb, this climb is a wonderful climb in its own right. A Mt Meru climb is normally done in 3 or 4 days. There is only one route on the mountain and overnights are spent in huts. The packing list for a Meru climb is identical to Mt Kilimanjaro. The mountain sees far fewer visitors compared to its big sister, Kilimanjaro.
